Aeromedical Development

Bankstown Airport Limited (BAL) has approved an application for the construction and operation of an Aeromedical Retrieval Helicopter Base Facility for the NSW Air Ambulance Service, comprising two buildings – a training centre and a helicopter hangar for maintenance and flight operations, with associated ground support facilities, external driveway, car parking, stormwater management, landscaping and fire services.

The facility is due to be completed by August this year.

The proposal will replace existing operations from two existing disparate locations on the Airport and expand the operations to include advanced helicopter pilot, medical and paramedic crew training facilities.
